Recommend me some brogues

Thanks.
The problem with Grenson is that they're so inconsistent with their pricing.
How much are they really worth? £100, £200, £300?

But I love the look of the blue brogue boots...

Or just buy some of this:

Handmade Leather Brogue Shoes

half price sale, i've got two pairs - Hampton brogues, one in tan, the other brown. they're about 3 years old now and i'm very happy with them. i wear good quality shoes, and these are good quality shoes...

Oooh they could be perfect for work. When they say 'generous fit' do they mean wide?

Kind of, but probably more in the volume of the foot - they aren't freakishly wide, but I can wear nice thick socks in them and I've got relatively wide, higher volume feet. (But such narrow heels and shapely ankles....).

God damn scrawny sparrow feet here. Probably not for me then.

I have a pair of Jones' brogues, very comfy they are too. I think you can get a pair for just over a hundred.

I never wear my Loakes. Last couple of times I have I've got a large blister on the top.if my big toe. Dunno what I'm doing wrong :(

Wear them for half an hour round the house daily, or every other day. Get them worn in bit by bit.

I’m happy with my two pairs of loakes

Seem bullet proof. Comfy and have lasted years. Don’t necessarily wear them that often but if they are the cheap end of men’s brogues I think i’ll Stick with them :D plus i’ve Never experienced anything of higher quality:D

Just got a pair of Loakes. Heavy waxed leather brogue boots, will be perfect for work.

£220 reduced to £110 as the last pair available in a blue cross sale. Sometimes having tiny feet and needing the size no other bugger wants has its advantages

theres a company based in Weston-super-Mare that do excellent - if not top tier, £300 - shoes.

Handmade leather shoes for men by Gentlemen Prefer Brogues

i've got two pairs of their brogues, the tan and dark brown Hamptons (which is a really dark brown, dark chocolate colour), and i'm very happy with them - i got the two pairs for about £65 each. as i say, they aren't Churchs' or Trickers, but they are (imv) 80%+ of the best shoes you could buy for £300 for about a fifth of the price.i would say they are equivilant to a pair of Loakes, and i've got Loakes..

.

i've had them for about a year, i use them a lot, and i'm very happy with them - the sizing can be a bit erratic, but the bloke is very good at changing them.
Oof belated thanks for this link, I ordered a pair of £21 (in the sale) brogues before christmas and just got round to trying them, can't believe they were that cheap, they feel proper.

Why are there boots when there are shoes? It baffles me why you’d want them to go even further up your leg, esp when you wear keks

I can't work out how to buy anything from that website. Am I being spectacularly dense?
