Due Date?
I recommend that then. It's a straightforwardly, good-naturedly funny in a way Australians seem able to pull off.haven't seen that but heard loads about it
seen, didn't likeDue Date?
It is great. a proper farce. Tie me up tie me down is also good for a chuckle. Not seen an unfunny one but not seen them all.Not all Almodovar is funny, mind. Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown is very funny.
What have I done to deserve this? also very funny. His early films mostly are funny, with his mum given some unlikely role as a newsreader or something. His later ones deal with other things like death and getting old. Not so funny. It is great. a proper farce. Tie me up tie me down is also good for a chuckle. Not seen an unfunny one but not seen them all.
saw it a long long time ago, but yesYou hated H&M?
We were doing so well...
Great film - not seen that for a whileAfter Hours by Scorcese
yes, hilariously terribleHave you seen "Liar of the White Worm" so bad it is fucking funny. Hugh Grant as you have not seen him before.
Never heard of it but going to have to watch it now!I watched this film the other night - it's not a comedy but it's hilarious in places - The Ballad of Tam Lin. Roddy Mcdowall's only film as a director, it Stars Ava Gardner as the leader of a sinister mystic psychedelic sex cult, an incredibly beautiful young Ian Mcshane as the troubled romantic lead, Joanna Lumley has a bit part as one of the cult. It's very odd and I'm fairly sure you'll love it. Some words about it on this blog, and a link to youtube where you can stream the whole thing (it's decent quality)

I watched the Holy Grail the other day and it still made me laugh loadsA cliché but I watched Monty Python's Meaning of LIfe the other night. Not seen it for several years. I was in tears at points. (laughter tears yeah.)
Think it's on Prime.
Me too. Actor makes one really weird, off the wall, and brilliant film then never does it again, a la Charles Laughton.Never heard of it but going to have to watch it now!
No-one had heard of it till that blog wrote about it last week, which is odd because it's (a lot) better than the kind of trash schlocky exploitation films it's most likely to be compared to.Never heard of it but going to have to watch it now!
Nah, liked Walken’s wardrobe thoughSeven Psychopaths ?
Lasted about half an hour of thatLogan Lucky
Office Space?
Worth persevering withLasted about half an hour of that
...though I'm going to take a punt that it's not in the same league as Laughton's. Still, killer b had me at Ava Gardner and sinister mystic psychedelic sex cult.Me too. Actor makes one really weird, off the wall, and brilliant film then never does it again, a la Charles Laughton.
