Rap battles and freestyles

rip to juice wrld, he died since I posted him in this thread... this video is just him backstage with friends freestyling endlessly for the love of it.... like they say at the end "if you dont stop the music he wont stop, hes an alien"

Another true freestyle.... this one is always mentioned in lists of best true freestyles ever... lil flip was 17 at the time
 
Guess this was a pre written but v nice and def all live (it was done a capella live originally someone put a beat on it later... LA capone was 16 at the time.... the most talented and prolific of all the Chicago drill rappers but he got murdered aged 17)

There was a big one on the hip hop forums today Method Man vs Math Hoffa. I didn't think it was any good because it doesn't look live, but it is Meth

 
Method did aiight for an industry rapper going up against a vet like Hoffa.

Usually industry rappers get smoked when they try and battle rappers who do this for a living.
 
I like the battlers that do jokes and wordplay over flow and bragging. Lot of UK battlers are just hilarious. The Calcium Kid, Oshea, and especially Ogmios are great entertainment.
The latter two had a battle which is one of my faves - quick bit of background so you get a couple of jokes - O'Shea worked in a supermarket, was known for making rubbish jokes to get laughs and once claimed he was so gangster he had a shit on a shark. Ogmios has very slow delivery and was a PE teacher. Enjoy

 
Honestly I've kind of got the same block on UK rappers as I have on UK tv, I.e. I want to like them but they all just seem a bit shit and worthy when you compare them to the best US ones. That is just me though.
 
Rome Streetz is good on the freestyle, it is old school style too for all you old anti-autotune headz. he;s doing a UK gig in June.
