He claims he was given it in good faith believing it to be the recording of some sporting event, which in part it was, having been taped over to some degree. Claims that it hadn't been fully wiped, though, and that there was the R. Kelly footage on there as well. Still bizarre if true, though.

E2A: or maybe not. Story seems to have changed since I read it yesterday - says he found it in a box and didn't know how it got there :confused:

It wouldn't surprise me if there's another tape, tbh. There's the tape of him allegedly abusing a 14yr old and several of the women who accuse him of abuse say that he filmed them as would use it to blackmail and intimidate them. So if there's another tape about to surface, it really wouldn't surprise me.
They must have had some prior relationship (he and the man with possession of the tape), I'm curios as to what that was but I kind of don't want to know since every development in this case gets darker and darker.,.

I recently saw an interview with his brother who says a lot of things which support the accusations being made against him. (It was on YouTube)

What I’m saying is that I'm struggling to understand how that happens.

It’s like some bad sitcom plot. “Oh, no, I think that tape I gave Gary with Saturday’s big game on is the one I used for the R Kelly underage porn! I need to get that back before he watches it”.

“Say Gary, it’s Creepy Clyde here. You watch that game yet? Tell you what. Don’t. I need that back”.

“Who was that, Gary?”

“Creepy Clyde. He says don’t watch the football game. Sounded a bit panicked”.

I can’t imagine any scenario where someone into that kind of material a) accidentally gives it to a mate and b), if he did, then doesn’t try to retrieve it.

It all sounds weird.
 
R Kelly asks media to 'take it easy' on him before 28-second performance

Life is clearly tough for him right now

“I want the media to take it easy on me, man,” he said. “And this is how I got to get paid now, for right now. So I got to go do this event, and it’s a party, so when you see me in the club with a couple of drinks in my hand, and chilling, please, take it easy. Appreciate it, y’all. Thanks.”

TV stations WICS and WRSP reported that about 100 people were at the 450-person-capacity club to see Kelly, who arrived at 1.30am. A $100 entrance fee was lowered to $50 once the singer arrived.

Kelly thanked his supporters, sang a line from one of his songs for 28 seconds, then spent about 35 minutes taking selfies and conversing with fans.

Epstein was arrested in New York last night.

Hopefully his "friends" will go down with him
 
a very good source, no-one i have any connection with, has pointed out that the Miami Herald has been chasing this story since it started. here's a current summary. it contains a picture of your Prince Andrew (no, not the one below).

With Jeffrey Epstein locked up, these are nervous times for his friends, enablers

"Among those potentially on the list: Ghislaine Maxwell, a 57-year-old British socialite and publishing heir who has been accused of working as Epstein’s madam; and Jean-Luc Brunel, who, according to court records, was partners with Epstein in an international modeling company.

Epstein, 66, was arrested at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday, as he arrived on his private jet from Paris, where he had been vacationing since June 14, aviation records show. About an hour after they picked him up, federal agents arrived at his imposing Manhattan townhouse, breaking down the door to execute search warrants.

Ghislaine Maxwell was sued for slander after calling Virginia Roberts Giuffre, one of Jeffrey Epstein’s accusers, a liar. Maxwell, a close associate of Epstein, sought to have documents from the court case remain sealed.


The fact that search warrants were issued shows that federal investigators have new evidence against Epstein beyond the sex cases he was given federal immunity for in Florida in 2008,legal experts told the Miami Herald."
