This is largely speculative on my part, but I think it’s not uncommon for someone accused of something heinous who is trying to persuade viewers of their innocence to bring on the righteous anger and frustrated weeping.

I know he’s theoretically innocent til proven otherwise, but everything I’ve seen strongly supports the notion that he’s a wrong’un.




I started watching the latest Louis Theroux (The Night In Question) and one of the college undergrads accused of sexual assault also wept on camera, fairly unconvincingly in my opinion. And the Michael Jackson peado doc is airing tonight on Ch 4, and being protested by super-fans in the street outside Ch.4 all day. There seems to be a common theme here. One of the things I find interesting is how men who say they “have no voice” and declare that they’re not being given a fair hearing and how terrible it is being doubted, are exactly those men who have caused women to have this exact experience in the past. It’s almost as if, having generated that set-up by virtue of their invincibility under the patriarchy, it’s their first go-to when they find themselves being scrutinised.

She didn't look that threatened to me. More sort of like "fella, fuck off" she couldn't look less flapped by his behaviour. In fact I'd go so far as to say the reason for him getting so worked up is precisely because she wasn't bothered. He finally came up against a woman fronting him down.

At thr same time, if that's how he can behave, I shudder to think what he's like behind doors with those other younger and much more easily cowed girls

Scary. However, it seemed to me that he was looking at and addressing himself to the camera for a lot if that shouting rant. Accidental or doing a good performance of "see how upset I am. Poor me"?

As a matter of curiosity, would some sort of mental health episode render him unfit to stand trial? Or at least facilitate his lawyers arguing that he he was unfit? That would be convenient for him. I am remembering Ernest Saunders and his not-Alzheimer's that got him out of jail in five months.

Big angry men standing over you and shouting are scary. I’ve been in a couple of situations where it wasn’t directed at me but it is still terrifying. Even if you carefully don’t react, every muscle is tense, your heart is beating, you’re mentally calculating what they might do, how quickly you can get away or someone else can get to you....

It’s horrible

It isn't enough in UK law, and I think this is true in the US too, to prove mental illness. You also have to prove that the nature of the mental illness was such that you were unable to bear criminal responsibility, that you were not able to understand that what you were doing was criminal. Being mentally ill is not the same as being legally 'insane'

Cornered his defence may try it.

The barely contained anger and aggression he shows is fucking horrible, to think that teenage girls have been on the receiving end of that, and worse, is absolutely horrific. That dark and disturbing nature of the interview is what prompted me to start the thread tbh. Nasty stuff :(
 
isn't there a sex tape of him with some underage girl?
trying to claim your not guilty when there's video evidence takes some bottle.
 
one of the worst jobs in the world atm must be the poor sod's who's in charge of trying to make this numpty look like he's not some sort of predatory abuser
