This is a bit brutal in places, and comparisons with Squid Game will undoubtedly be made, but we loved the first episode. A schoolgirl starts a new term at an all-girl school where the students are allowed to operate a vote-based hierarchy system, with the class using an app to assign votes to each other and those receiving none being ruthlessly bullied for a month.
Judging by the first episode, this already feels far more multilayered than a straightforward revenge story against bullies. There are already hints of darker forces at play behind the scheme, as well as strategic alliances forming to influence the next monthly vote.
Very early days but recommended. On Paramount+ in the UK.
