Portugal v Ghana

Love the Ghana fans.

BTW The only World Cup game I went to was Portugal V Ghana in Brasilia in 2014.

Most of the Portuguese thought it was a debatable penalty in this bar .
Anyway Portuguese TV have shown in the crowd a Portuguese supporter dressed up a Native American and two people on sombreros one with Portugal written on it and the other with Ghana written on it .
Drinks are in full flow here .

Does anyone know why they changed the offside rule thing to stop the linesman calling it as soon as the offside player touches it, rather than waiting for the break in play?

Wasn’t it in case the linesman is wrong ? ( with the introduction of var)

Political correctness in terms of dress seems to have gone out of the window in this WC. It's 'cultural appropriation' galore. Loads of fans wearing Arab head-dress in their national colours, white faced Ghanaian fans, sombreros, native American head-dress. Quite refreshing in a way.

That second half was mad. Thought Ghana were going to get rolled over once the second goal was scored but they fought back and then that oh so near cheeky chance at the end. Ronaldo's reaction was priceless.

Bollocks. I almost cared about that match. Was in Ghana couple months ago and have never seen people so passionate & knowledgable about football as they are there, first question when you say you're form uk is which team do you support.

Seemed like everybody could reel off the names and biographies of even non premier league british teams like this was a completely normal level of knowledge, and they always had a good detailed answer for 'why do you support liverpool' or whatever, was not easy for me an ignoramus.

Haha.. say what you will about the idiot, but the football world will be a little more fun once he finally realises he's past it and hangs up his boots
