Peaky Blinders

So the movie version is now fucked because some jobsworth grass cunt snitched on one of the actors...

Anderson was caught after a drinker at his local in Hampstead, north-west London, told the pub's manager he smelled crack cocaine fumes coming from the disabled toilet after the actor walked out.

tbf, speaking as someone with a disability, that is not what accessible toilets are for.
Was the person who spoke to the bar staff someone who was near pissing themselves waiting to use the facilities while other people were in there getting off their faces?
If so, fair enough.

I don't have a problem with people doing drugs.
I do have a problem with people occupying accessible facilities and blocking others from using them. It is a problem in a lot of pubs that if you have a disability you can't actually use the accessible loo.

Not worth actually getting the guy arrested, regardless of his celebrity

I'm sure he had a nice home or hotel room where he could have done drugs at his leisure without using a disabled toilet.
Those loos are not there for this sort of purpose, and I have absolutely zero sympathy with someone occupying one when they are not someone in need of an accessible toilet for the purposes of pissing or shitting.
It is a problem in a lot of public places that disabled loos are misused, denying people who need them the ability and right to use them.
Some celebrity with more money than sense surely has better places they can snort a line/smoke a pipe?

Doing drugs is usually an off the cuff kind of thing. Speaking from experience here. I can't say I've ever used a disabled loo but still, I think the bar manager could have just thrown him out with a stern warning.

Needing the loo is often an off the cuff thing if you suffer from urgency due to a medical condition or disability.
Stop trying to defend the pratt.

And no I don't think being arrested is the answer, of course I don't - but being told to stop and leave would be reasonable.

Unlike Prince Harry who somehow dodged any charges despite putting it writing that he was a coke friend he won't be able to travel to the US now to pursue any future Hollywood career

How is he a prat? He enjoys drugs - personally I don't anymore but I don't judge anyone who does. He was arrested for using drugs, not for using a disabled loo

So enjoy drugs someplace that isn't a facility that might be needed urgently by someone who it is intended for.
That isn't a big ask.
The thing I have an issue with is that the accessible loo seems to be the go-to place for people to do drugs in a pub environment, often leaving the room occupied for ages as people go in and out and unable to be used by the intended patrons, and sometimes filthy and trashed - yes I have a vested interest in making sure that this doesn't happen, because I use those facilities to actually go to the toilet in, and shouldn't be denied a night out in the pub because of pratts who can't find anywhere better to do their thing than the loo intended for my use. Especially rich pratts, who surely have somewhere better to go.

It is an issue all over the place, this is not a one off.

Ok fair enough. I get your point.

ofc the big glaring issue is that if drugs were decriminalised/legalised meaning people could do it more publicly, and there were more accessible toilets for people, we wouldn't even be having this debate

Indeed. I'm currently sitting in a location (obvs not the UK) where that is happening around me and it's great. im stickin to the beer. i mean it's not all fully legalised but nobody gives a shit. and who fucking cares what anyone chooses to put in themselves. ruining someone's career and actually possibly crew and casts members' actually careers over smoking a bit of crack. whoever did that, fuck them.
