Panasonic breadmaker disaster

I just needed to bake a bread in 4 hours, but realised too late I should put a wholemeal loaf on a 5 hour wholemeal cycle not a 4 hour basic bread cycle.

If I followed a brown bread recipie needing a 4 hour cycle but used wholmeal flour by mistake will I die?

More importantly will I end up with a brick?
 
Nah it'll just be a bit dense. Fear not, some people prefer bread that way anyway.
When I had a breadmaker I used to take an awful lot of liberties with the cycles I chose.
Then it broke, and I no-longer have one.

I find my 100 percent w/m comes out fine even on the 3 hour "rapid" cycle. :)

I didn't use mine for over a year because of the lack of a reset. I think it will if you unplug it for half an hour.
