Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs - Marty Robbins (I love that so many of the tracks have the riding-on-a-paint-hoss kind of rhythm, that - and the Mexican stories. This is actually one of my favourite albums of all time :cool:

I loved Bang (it went a bit not so good before the end but looked like it was getting really good eagin just before it was cancelled)
I bought every copy not sure if still got them all or if some got lost in the move :mad: just remembered I posted some stuff on the site's board just before it disapeared when the mags closure was announced re sad to see the magazine go & how well Dead Fashion had been done - got a reply/thank you from one of the writers

wish I still had a copy of those posts :(

just had a vivid flashback to my intense Nick Drake obsession around August/September/October 03 and that photo of just feet/legs sticking out over the end of a bed in a room matching exactly the description of how his mother found him.

I've heard a version by him. (-How many's he actually done!? :eek: :D )

Much though I like Rollins though, I doubt anything's ever going to beat the original for me! :cool:

There are a few studio versions out there. Lots of live boots from the mid-80s through to around the time of The End of Silence (1992), it was a regular fixture in the set.

There is a mad version of him doing it with the Butthole Surfers. :D
