well I haven't heard his first album but i'm gonna try and get hold off it..

as for this one well I would be lying if I said it was groundbreaking or startlingly original...but it's beautiful, lush, joyous electronica with obvious debts to shoegazey stuff and early 90's electronic stuff

good dreamy stuff, just what I need at the moment......

Mod's Mayday '79.

I know exactly why I'm listening to it - foo mentioned Antony Meynell and I had a hankering to listen to some Squire again.

How predictable am I?!

Hmm, think it might be a Mod Revival Day on the cards - and will make a bit of a change from the tekno I've been listening to solidly for the last couple of days. A seed planted by Griff's thread...

Nice.

I've got 'La Dame De Coeur' - not sure why, but a very close family friend sent this to me just before he died last year. Anyway, when I play it I think of him.

Not now though, cause I'm listening to D.A.V.E. the Drummer at Stratford Waterworks.

Boom, boom, boom.

Peace Not War

An excellent compilation produced by a small London collective, with ALL proceeds going to groups which use non-violent means to stop war and promote peace.

More details on the Peace Not War website; where, if you're lucky - or not, as the case may be - you also might come across a Robb Johnson and Rhythms of Resistance collaboration.

:)

Oh, and Sylford Walker and Welton Irie's Lamb's Bread International.

:D
