Kenna - Make Sure They See My Face

Highlight of the day so far though...
Los Amigos Invisibles - Arepa 3000
The way I imagine this album happening is this. Somewhere in the wilds of Venezuela is an isolated village inhabited by a bunch of naturally talented musicians, but isolated from the modern world. In to this village a plane crashes, carrying the instruments of a salsa band, a teach yourself salsa book, the complete works of Arthur C Clarke (in Spanish), and all of George Clinton's and Bootsy Collins' most extravagantly silly funk albums. After a few months practise the people of the village trek to the nearest recording studio to make a concept album. Strange and wonderful. Deals with the cliches that can wreck a piece of music in much the same way as an icebreaker deals with icebergs, just blasts through the buggers relying on sheer raw power.
