Mount Kimbie - Crooks & Lovers

Quality album. :cool:

Was leafing through my old cd's and came across this.

Reminds me of my last year in high school.

Went a bit bonkers on a visit to London on Thursday, getting 7 albums for £32 from Sister Ray and MVE. Haven't listened to them all yet, but these three have all proved worthwhile investments so far;

Autechre - "Gantz Graf"
Max Tundra - "Some Best Friend You Turned Out To Be"
This Mortal Coil - "Blood"

Today = Hip Hop

Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
Ghostface Killah - Fishscale
Akala - Freedom Lasso

young money love money blood money right
your money war money more money right
they dont even really undastand wot its like

Scientist - "Rids The World Of The Evil Curse Of The Vampires"
Mogwai - "Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will"

The Mogwai album definitely gets better as you go through it.

Earth - Extra Capsular Extraction
The Anniversary - Designing A Nervous Breakdown (still one of my favourite albums of all time)

Stones - Exile on Main Street, the remastered one. Sounds fucking great, even 'I Just Want To See His Face' which used to sound like it was recorded underwater.

recent listening:
While She Sleeps - The North Stands For Nothing
Rage Against The Machine - Renegades
Radiohead - The Bends
The Finn Brothers - Everyone Is Here
Allison - One
Paul Hartnell - the ideal condition
The Word - Now Hear This April 2009
(The Easy Star All Stars cover of With A Little Help With My Friends is still shit)

loads of nme/vintage tv/scuzz/lava music video half watching

Happy Hardcore & Donk & John Edan reggae shows on urban 75 radio
Rocker and bits of other shows on Dandilion radio

now: Radiohead - King Of Limbs on youtube

Better than their recent efforts?

I quite like some of their recent efforts.

I like Murray Street and The Eternal. Not that keen on Sonic Nurse and Rather Ripped.

Some of the recentish SYR series are pretty good as well.

Simon Werner a Disparu is part of that series I think, it is also the OST for a French film of the same name. It is worth a listen if you haven't heard it.
