I just played "I Need A Dollar" to someone at work, and he described it as "a bad Motown track". Errrr...
I really liked Aloe (as a rapper) on the Emanon record, and his solo debut Shine Through is pretty decent, too. But this is something else, I really really do like it a lot.
2nd excellent throwback soul record I've heard this year (Mayer Hawthorne's being the other).
