Nah, and nor is KLF's - What Time is Love (Pure Trance mix), though both are in trance's DNA somewhere. Both of those were house tracks, from before a trance scene formed with DJs making sets of tunes with a similar feel.

I could bore on about the beginnings of trance for ages if you wanna start a thread.

Well if Pacific state isn't trance then I can't see how that track is. No further questions mlud!

I'm prepared to say I like early trance ( depending on the evidence) but asking me to start the thread is a step too far

Cos genre can be defined by where a tune is played, who plays it and the audience that dances to it as much as what it sounds like.
