Oink is no more

If anyone on here gets a waffles.fm account, please could I grab an invite? I had a massive oink account, way over 2 on my ratio with a dedicated machine seeding oink and karagarga torrents 24/7. I'm no leecher! I'm happy to swap a karagarga invite

I gave my 2 invites back there. If I get any more I'll stick them on Urban. Some people on that thread might be some invites left, but the site says it's over it's 8000 maximum and is a bit slow/shaky at the moment while everyone starts on thier 10gigs.
 
I wouldn't half mind something eventually. I invited loads of people on Urban to the original so maybe someone will return the favour :D

Yeah the invite threads on those boards are a bit mad aren't they? I haven't seen as much whoring since I was in the 'dam

I'm sure your invite will come through in the end
 
dogmatique: :) no it wasn't me,. I got my what.cd invite from the kg forums so didn't need to trade. I'm willing to to get a waffles account though!
Hopefully our invites will arrive someday

Both what.csd and waffles.fm are up and running- the DDoS attacks have been beaten back it would seem.
My invite to what.cd hasn't arrived yet, and I can't seem to scrounge a waffles.fm account yet :(

anyone got anything to report about either?
 
Nah I've been on at the wafffles staff but I think they are overwhelmed with emails from ex-oink users at the min. Hopefully if you've sent them conf of your oink membership they'll send you an invite shortly....

Just checked my What account and apparently I'm a power user (without uploading a single torrent yet) and I have 16 invites. However the site is full, so all invitations and registrations are stopped, even the people I invited before haven't been allowed to register. TBH it's not really worth it at the mo as it's still really slow and the server fuck up meant that half the torrents on there were deleted.

They have bought a brand new server which apparently should be up and running in a week or so and will help with the speed issue and will probably allow them to have more than 8000 users.

When I can invite folk to What I'll post on this thread.

I haven't got a clue about Waffles, if they ever get round to sorting through the emails I may get an invite.

ST Music is growing nicely at the moment though and isn't suffering from the issues that the others are. I'm not sure if it's still open registration, but if it isn't I have invites for it.
 
Looks like What.cd is open again for invites. PM me your email if you want one.

I haven't had time to use it much so I can't really say how good it is at the moment
 
Thanks mate- I just got on there today.
Waffles.fm next! I sent off my proof of oinkiness, but apparently there are somewhere in the region of 7.5K emails to go through, and only 4 of them doing it!

Cheers though.
 
I spoke too soon. The site is now down so they can switch servers so I can't put any invites though at the moment. I'll do them when it comes back up.
 
Got my first look at What.cd today, looks quite nice at first glance, though the site obviously needs lots of tweaks - which will be ongoing as noted above.

Waffles seems to be having lots of problems; check ex Oink Mod Paine's rant here.

Waffles at the moment seems to be run by some teen script kiddies from County Wicklow in Ireland. Not confident.

At the same time, and without nearly as much hype, stmusic has been slowly gathering pace, with now over 20,000 torrents available.

It's gonna take time folks, hedge your bets get invites to all of them and see how it plays out...
 
Yeah, stmusic is the best so far- I'm quite liking it. Uploading is good- the interface pulls the album data and art down from amazon so you don't need to type anything (like karagarga does with films through imdb)
 
At the moment it looks like there are about 250 places available on What before they close invites again

I've got invites but if you want one you need to PM an email address to me for to send it to you. Urban peeps who PM'd me with email addresses so far have been sent invites.

I agree about getting on STmusic it's been very kind to ex-oinkers by changing from a scene release only site to allowing user uploads and the content is improving every day.

Thanks for the invite but it didn't work - said that that invite is not valid. Is that because they closed the registrations again?
