Norwood and Brixton Foodbank needs your help as record numbers served

Norwood & Brixton Foodbank could do with some more volunteer drivers to fill lots of gaps, if you’re interested in driving each week or even more ad-hoc.
It takes a 1-2 hours each shift, usually doing 3-4 drops around the Streatham, Brixton, Norwood, Stockwell areas. You just drop at the door, it’s easy. Does involve some lifting of course.

You can do one shift or more, it’s very flexible.

When lockdown hit operations moved to delivery service rather than drop in and continue that way as lots of people we serve are in the vulnerable category, health & safety etc. Sadly demand is going up as the economic affects hit.

Days needed are Mon-Fri, daytimes. There’s also the odd supermarket collection pick up too.

If you can forward this onto anyone you know who might be interested.

Let Johanna know if you’re interested volunteer@norwoodbrixton.foodbank.org.uk.

Thank you! 💚

editor - any way you could please kindly give the above information a boost? A lot of people who kindly volunteered are returning back to work from furlough so drivers are a little thin on the ground at the moment. Many thanks of so!
