North Norfolk.

I did go on a boating holiday with some pals in the Norfolk Broads. Longish boat, propellor driven. Really easy to use. i just assumed it was called a canal boat. Sailor i am not.

Modern inshore hire cruiser. Found on the broads, the Thames and Scottish rivers.

It was as long as the first one but not as posh as the last one. It was loads of fun. Ended up in Great Yarmouth (as all roads do). It was four really immature late 20’s blokes so we all pretended we’re in Apocalypse Now heading up the river towards Kurtz. We all had soaker water guns.

‘I love the smell of sugar beet in the morning.’

We're off to North Norfolk for a few night at the end of September, staying near Cromer.
We've been over that a few times in the past and while it may not fill my heart with joy like Wales or Cornwall do, it does have its charms.

We went to Hunstanton for a day trip in the summer and I was pleasantly surprised.
Yes, it was a bit kiss-me-quick in places, but Old Hunstanton beach was great

My grandparents lived in Heacham, a couple of miles from Hunstanton - I remember with great fondness the great long beaches, the endless skies, the quiet tranquility of the landscape.

Hugely underated area imv. Very easy to relax and just enjoy it all.
