Anyone visited this? It's a lovely day out, but it is a fair way from anywhere.

Yes, years ago, I think it was a millennium project ? we stayed in a cottage on the hills above it, so saw the dome in the morning, pretty sure it was that place, lovely part of the country

we stayed in this place, Paxton's Tower Lodge - on the hill above the Botanic Gardens

yes went there with the kids a couple of years ago - bizarrely for what is a Botanical garden, I liked the buildings more than the gardens! that massive glasshouse is proper piece of work.

Worth a visit though. Good ice cream

I went there last Thursday. Loved that it's so much more compact than Kew. Hated that it's so much hillier than Kew and I think I've damaged my shoulder pushing wheelchair up hills :(

The dome's lovely

I've only been there for meetings so still haven't properly been round. Looks a great place for a day out on acid

I'm currently googling purple and pink flowers to try to identify this one. It may have been in the Chilean Zone, but I'm not sure. I've already identified these ones, but want to know what the purple and yellowy/orange one with the purpley/lavendar tip is. I couldn't find labels for them so if anyone has got photos with labels or knows what they are....

Alstroemerias (there were yellow ones and pink ones)
