Mercury amalgam fillings - a poisoning of generations

Christ. There are millions of us Mercury-carrying nutters out there there, probably dying from the inside-out. That evil conspiracy of dentists has misled us all, putting 'horrendous poison' in some of the world's sharpest minds. We're all doomed, DOOMED, DOOMED. We're going to hell in a mercury handcart.

Or maybe, just maybe, you're getting things a little out of proportion here.

But maybe I'm not.

Why don't you have a look at the videos, which I note no-one has yet offered any criticism of?

I thought it was now common knowledge that mercury fillings were dangerous.

I think some of you are being a bit hard on Jazz. <wags finger>

But removing them is more dangerous. :)

WTF is 'holistic dentistry'?

Belief that your teeth are also responsible for your health and wellbeing, and by treating dental problems you can also cure other ailments. I know gum disease and heart disease are linked but how close and if it is dietary related too - but there is a link. I don't think showing your yellow pegs to a couple of crystals is going to get rid of the clap, like.

Jazz, the problem is that for every potentially interesting and useful thread you post, you also post a hundred paranoid and bizarre ones. As a result potential readers will be put off looking at any links you post in case they contain a high lizard/MMR monkey/bizarreness level.

Sorry.

Does he bang on about MMR too? Cripes!

And ME/CFS
Vaccines in general
Barefoot doctor style quackery
Extra Pure Water
Mediums

...and the list goes on. I hate to say it, but if you pick an 'alternative' treatment, no matter how unconvincing the argument/evidence, there's a fair chance that Jazzz'll lap it up.

You could probably make a link between those who believe conspiracy theories as a matter of faith and those who crave 'alternative' treatments and it wouldn't appear spurious. Not quite sure what that means.

Sorry.
It's not up to me if people want to be open minded - and judge evidence on its own merits - or closed-minded and follow prejudice, is it?

No apology necessary.

my fillings are well worn. i assume that means i have been eating the mercury. i know mercury is toxic. how much mercury goes into a filling? how much is dangerous to health?

the link between oral hygiene and heart disease (endocarditis to be specific) is quite a good link. mouth bacteria can get into the blood via bleeding gums and the bacteria can settle in/on the heart - often causes old people to pop their clogs.

I think it's about half a gram per filling.

There is no safe level of exposure.

You don't like vaccines? So you'd rather people risked malaria, typhoid, cholera etc etc? Jeez!
I think we should concentrate on the mercury issue on this thread.

Did you watch the videos?

You see, we are about fifty posts in, and no-one has yet offered a comment.

Perhaps you might be the first?

No, I don't have the patience to watch videos on the internet. Especially ones which don't interest me in the first place
Well, kindly fuck off then, troll :)

Jazzz, having mercury fillings are possibly not terribly good for you but getting them removed is where the main danger lies as it is in this process that it can escape into your body.

I'd go for white fillings probably now but I'm certainly not going to go and get all mine changed.

True if you have them removed simply by the dentist whacking them out but I had all mine removed under almost surgical conditions with rubber dams and eye & nose protection (for the dentist and assistant as well) and it's the best thing I've ever done :)

I'm sorry sir but you are indeed if you are going to sneer without making any effort to watch the material in the title post
I'm no troll, I just don't trust a thing you say

I don't want you to, it's a healthy attitude. How about watching the videos? I didn't write them.

I have a few amalgam fillings but have never suffered any ill health.

On a scale of 1-10, how much should I care?
If you're not suffering any ill health personally I'd say somewhere around 0. Mind you I won't let my kids have any
