Doesn't if take longer if you all have to sit around for ages waiting to be moved before you can start reading?

About 15 minutes each session. Then we all discuss the bits we found particularly distasteful and then go on to relate what we've read to our personal hobby horses: Liberation Theology; prisons; the Twelve Steps; Nineteenth Century Novels; the oddness of Evangelicals; biscuits; the hole in the Meeting House Roof; teaching; working with refugees; Robert Alter; the horror of Quaker committees and the relative merits of the different the different Bible translations we use.

I would imagine a long running Capital book group would be much the same

Did a Capital reading group reasonably recently, took us 2 years meeting fortnightly. Don't think I would have got through it without that. Would do another tbh, Urban75 Capital reading group anyone?
