Música de Brasília

Went on a little journey, rewatching that Miles Davis at Isle of White with Chick Corea, and went on to check out other members of the band - the bassist is an interesting character, Brit Dave Holland, but the percussionist was a Brazilian guy called Airto Moreira

He's done loads of solo albums, great quality from what Ive dipped into. heres one from a live album with Deodato
like this a lot, very high-joyful-peaking-grooving out in a mid seventies hippy fashion

This trend for 200bpm funk is really growing on me

successfully outraging all parents that!

Airto 's done loads of good stuff and with loads of folk.

Been listening to these recently:
Mestre Geraldo - Batucada Genial - love it! Always end up dancing when I listen to it.

Amor Cinza - nice one for playing the guitar along to and also very beautiful

Capoeira inspired music, the whole album is great, "A arte de Mestre Lourimbau"
