Lunch should have its own thread

I really, really want burger and chips at the pub but not enough pennies :(
Never mind, will eat lots tonight :)

Two crusty white rolls with chicken mayo chorizo and lettuce, and a can of lime diet coke. Can't wait. I am trying not to open the Easer egg which I got this morning. We all got one, so someone else is bound to cave first. :)

a multigrain pitta with humous and salad drenched in pizza express dressing

the humous was gorgeous, the salad and dressing wasn't what I wanted though :( :D

6 nice fresh 'n fluffy char siu buns, dark soy, kecap manis, chilli oil. Piggish but very nice on a dark damp day like this. Belly goes :)

Toast, covered with a liberal amount of coarse Ardennes pate. Then, a tablespoon of leftover bechamel sauce poured over the top, and the whole put under a hot grill for a couple of minutes.

I have to admit that the experiment wasn't entirely successful and I can't in all conscience recommend that you try this.

today I suspect will be some boring butty

that or fork out £4 for a subway salad! I don't bloody think so!

minestrone soup from work canteen. Not bad.

have to go out for more food in a bit, maybe salad or something.
And will also get my free cup of tea from cafe nero

couldn't be arsed to make lunch this morning, so i got a massive egg mayo baguette and a bag of crisps from the shop

I'm trying to lose weight so I made a weightwatchers 2 point sandwhich from x2 slices wholemeal nimble bread, extra light cream cheese and lots of salady things. I had a pkt of those baked crisps and x2 satsumas.

I'm bumping this thread cos I made a particularly tasty cream cheese, smoked mackeral and betroot bagel for a picnic lunch for me and the small girl today.
Lovely combination!

I had a falafal wrap from the "farmers" market in hammersmith. Three freshly cooked falafal, lots of salad, fresh herbs and tasty sauces all wrapped up in a proper flatbread. Reet tasty, and not bad value for £3.

That sounds TOP!

I've just had a smoked trout, mayonnaise and gherkin sandwich and I loved it so I reckon I may try your combo next week!

It was ACE!

I ate it feeling like a right genius, but my bezzer ruined it by saying that she used to have mackeral and betroot sandwiches all the time .... :D

It was the cream cheese that made all the difference though...obviously!

Your own sandwich was defo a variation of the same theme though eh!!!

Today I had smoked mussels on toast (toasted one side of the bread, flipped it over, crammed on loads of the oily mussels then toasted again till the bread was brown and the mussels were hot - my mum used to do it, although she used to cut the bread into tiny pieces just big enough to hold a single mussel each! :D ) and sliced betroot.

no, yesterday I just had a cheese and pickle sandwich from Eat in the centre of town. I'd been at the chinese embassy for five hours and hadn't had anything to eat since my bowl of cornflakes at about half six, so i was bloody starving and just grabbed the first half decent thing i could find.
