I went for a special Mothers' Day lunch at my kids' school. My kids ate all the cakes and left me with the unseasoned egg sandwiches, then the boy next to me (VERY, VERY CLOSE) threw up Magical.

I love taking myself out for lunchI went out solo for lunch, they assumed I was waiting for someone so they didn’t ask for my order. I then prompted them & they were so apologetic & gave me my latte for free.
I had a lovely jacket potato with veg chilli & salad. It was in a very light & airy place overlooking a green & was just perfect.
I then remembered the pub round the corner had a fab hillside beer garden so took myself there for a half if cider. The cider was also my no1 cider - Aspalls so a winning lunch. Also had a book to read.
A box of veggie sushi, a veg samosa, a banana and some fizzy water. Consumed in blissful SILENCE far away from everyone who is annoying me. Which is everyone. /PMT
This again, but with a fruit pot instead of crispsHam hock and egg sandwich, sweet chilli crisps, mango smoothie
The roasted carrot and fennel trivet from under last night's pork loin. A slice of the pork, spread with wholegrain mustard and eaten with cornichons. A bowl of lettuce, fennel, tomato and carrot with oil and lemon juice. A coffee.
It was a bit. Not as organised as it sounds though - I ate the roasted veg from the tin with my hands while I was deciding what to haveOoh blimey
