The Games usually last about 16 days. So you can just squeeze in three rounds for eight teams, with a rest day before the final.

I think you'd be naive to think he doesn't enjoy a pint or two. A tangent on a tangent but they interviewed that 16yo kid this morning on GMB who was found in France after basically being abducted by his mum and living in a commune for 6 years.

That's cheating. If chess players were suddenly required to wear DMs, say, that wouldn't make chess a sport. It would just be an example of a silly rule.

Not quite. He rarely lit it on the green, it was a concentration aid. But yes, he did smoke a lot. I know, I met him. (I used to be rather good at that game).

Competitive woodchopping (yes, it is a thing). I would have thought you could do that wearing whatever shoes you wanted. (Although thinking about it, they probably wear steel toe caps.)

In wheelchair sports, what shoes you wear really doesn't matter much.

All attempts to define what is or isn't a sport like that are doomed to failure. There are a variety of measures and many sports won't pass all of them, but just passing some of them is enough to cross a threshold of sportiness.

If the act of playing rises the heat rate for an average person and would make them sweat even a little its a sport otherwise it is a game.

This is just the act of playing so does not include and physical affects of stress form high stakes games.
