London's Galaxy Afiwe seems to have moved from 99.5 to 102.5 (their website doesn't mention this) - caught a bit of 'The Variety Man' by chance on the way back from London this evening before I fell off the edge of the signal.

99.5 is now Venture

RJR London are still going on 98.3 but the website's buggered so I can't get it when I'm at home :(

Ska - can you receive SLR on 97.7 down your way? It's from North London I think and seems to have been going for yonks but it's always fallen below my radar! Also seems to be streaming on tunein radio.

Just that I only discovered last night that Mikey Dread from Channel One has a long running dub show on there!

I've been listening the show from a few weeks ago here (wicked site btw - seems to have stacks of roots and dub radio shows, mixes) and apparently the show goes out live on SLR Tuesday 6-8pm!

great find steph...no i cant pick it up here, and i cant tune in at that time either, but hopefully theyll keep getting uploaded to talawa
thanks a lot ;)
any other thoughts for good regular shows?

I actually have a very tatty piece of paper next to my hi-fi of which is scribbled various weekly radio listening/shows I've caught - when I get back home I'll post some of it up (what's legible)!

I know Rinse is legal now, but I am sure these links will be of interest to some:

Rinse FM: 'Radio, not the internet, gave me my break,' says Katy B (Guardian on Rinse's 18th birthday - 30/9/12)
Urban music's chart power is thanks in no small part to ex-pirate station Rinse FM. On its 18th birthday, we learn how it climbed from tower blocks to the very top

Rinse FM pirate radio station goes legit (Guardian on Rinse going legal, linked from above article - 10/10/10)
After 16 years broadcasting from east London rooftops, influential station started by DJ Geneeus wins Ofcom licence

The website at Rinse FM has 18 short documentary vidoes from members of the Rinse team discussing a certain moment in the stations history.

ok i have listened to quite a bit of ^^^ it is 4 hours long and maybe best attacked in chunks. there is a lot of 'yeah we got seen on the roof by the coppers lol' which gets a bit repetitive at times but some great stories, particularly Geeneus and Dugs tracing the story of Rinse and all the studios etc it used.

Anyone in south london know what station is broadcasting currently on 92.4fm?

Been listening quite a bit this weekend in bursts driving to work but they dont seem big on promoting themselves or even giving the station name a mention at all :D

I discovered the station after my regular rescan of the airwaves, i think ill eventually get RSI or crash my car because you have to scroll up through the FM band each tiny bit by bit. Autoscan is not your friend pirate radio lovers :)

Uncle Dugs is tearing out some jungle on RINSE FM right NOW.

Ray Keith is being interviewed later, probably around 1pm

really enjoyed this, yes a marathon!

also the Stevie Hyper D tribute day show and documentary was

i know i bang on about it, but tomorrows #RCFF Uncle Dugs show on Rinse should be a goodun.

After last weeks 'RCFF Jukebox' where listeners chose all the tunes, i suggested on another forum to Dugs he does a B Side special. Fair play, he is doing it.

92 B Sides only 11-2 Friday Rinse FM. Podcast usually up on Mondays.

RJR 98.3 ("old school quality music, i.e. Classical Reggae, soul, Jazz, R&B, Rhythm & Blues, Ska, Motown and World Music") is back on the web at a new (online) home - here
