There's loads going on at the moment in London, so I figured a centralised thread detailing them here might be handy.

To start you off here's some I've seen recently (all free)

Whitechapel Gallery – surrealism, sounds, social housing, films and wonderful art -

Went to see this at the Barbican today , must admit I'd never heard of him , (Mrs21 had) . A controversial figure (collaborator in ww2, accused of antisemitism) . Some of the stuff is stunning , some disturbing, some wtf!

Really glad you posted this as I've just been and thought it was brilliant It felt like an old school squatted art thing and it was great seeing the stuff from Mutoid Waste Company.

I went to see it yesterday!
It was brilliant, so many rooms on different levels of the building - was difficult to remember which ones you'd been into! My favourite was the Theatre of Waste too - fabulous work made of bits and pieces!

The building was great too - those stained glass windows and lovely old tiles on some of the walls

Went to see the Thomas Becket exhibition at the British Museum yesterday. A bit expensive at £17 for a smallish exhibition, but being able to see one of the c1200 Miracle windows from Canterbury Cathedral close up (they've divided it into four sections - it's six metres tall otherwise) was really special.
