Yes we all love to pile in, don't we? I'm working my way through the reported posts because I want to see what's been posted before unilaterally banning someone because others have demanded it.
Notably some of the people shouting for bans are the people who never bothered to report anything. That's probably my fault too.

Did you report any of the posts in the past? If not, why not?
You see, this is the first I've heard of this poster and I'm having to spend my time looking at what he's posted and dish out warning points as I find each dodgy post. But I also happen to busy doing other stuff.
I've been told he's posted up 'animated child porn'. If that is true, then he is banned for life.

I was told they had been reported. I thought I had reported one but maybe not. There's an overall pattern of misogyny and references to sex tourism, defence of pro paedophile positions and repeated posting of hebephilic pop videos with comments about the girls in them that has convinced some posters that they don't want him as part of the community. There's no single killer post that's a bannable offense in itself.

So then you understand how difficult it is when the few random posts of his that were reported didn't seem like out and out insta-bannable stuff.
I honestly don't recall seeing anything of this poster until yesterday and was surprised how long he's been on the boards without generating reported posts until the last few days.

You know what? There were a whole load of posts reported suddenly for one particular person - initially recent ones which were a bit "ok that's not great" and then referring to things from 2015 or whenever.
As mods we don't spend our lives here either dealing with reported posts or reading over post contexts. If there are a load of reports, particularly if it's one specific person, those need to get looked at in context rather than being dealt with on the basis of the content that was reported. This takes time.
Things that are not helpful and you can fuck off with: a load of insults about how during that process we're defending paedos or whatever.

Pile ins dont do that much for me, I was just dismayed to see this thread get bumped and considered that drawing attention to this old thread ran somewhat counter to what people were hoping for. I know moderating forums isnt easy so I have finished being critical now.
