Lambeth Council bringing Leisure Service/ Brixton Rec Management In-house

I've heard the next Scrutiny committee on Tuesday 23rd July will concentrate on Lambeth Leisure now its been a year since Lambeth took over.

Anyone can make a representation either in writing and / or in person

Does anyone have any issues with Lambeth Leisure as Brixton Rec Users Group might go.

I think some people have made a mistake on the senior membership.

I am over 60 but not over 65 and get the senior rate.

At the handover to Lambeth there was a lot of confusion as it appeared that the age was raised.

This was a mistake.

GLL/ Better have raised it. But Lambeth have kept it to 60

The confusion was due to the way the transition was badly handled.

Interestingly the Scrutiny Committee is looking at the Active Lambeth in its next meeting.

Would be nice to have bowling now that Elephant is gone.
But there needs to be reduced rates for Lambeth residents and moreso those in the borough on low incomes.
