There's basically no facilities other than a lifeguard. If it's raining your dry stuff gets wet unless you have a dry bag. It's nice to swim in but not somewhere you'd want to hang around chilling by afterwards. That said the cafe in the park itself is very pleasant for a coffee after.

Over Lockdown during warm weather, we had the unofficial Hackney wild swimming in the Lea , got very busy there. If you know Hackney Marshes , the swimming was in the Lea close to the red bridge that connects Hackney Marshes to Leyton Marsh , which is fairly near the football pitches & cricket pitches/cricket nets
