30 years since jungle crossed over mainstream and hit the charts with M Beat and General Levy (reaching no. 8 in September 1994) (anyone feeling bloody old?! 
)
Admittedly, it wasn't a tune that did much for me at the time, there was just so much great stuff being put out that spring/summer, and by the time it went commercial it was already an old tune. And then there was the 'Jungle Committee' controversy But I've certainly re-evaluated it over the years for the important tune it is

24 Karat https://www.discogs.com/label/3832-24-Karat is a lesser known label but put out some of the earliest tracks by Kenny Ken, Facs, and Halfbreed aka Danny Styles - great interview here where Styles talks about his beginnings in Brixton, setting up the label with Lloyd Galloway (promoter of Innovation raves), releasing on the label, battling with drugs, and eventually ending up in Hull!
