I resented them; I really couldn't relate to their comfortable suburbia.

For eighties US teen dramas, I preferred River's Edge at the time.

I'm an old geezer and was 40 when that film was made but it remains one of my top five favourite films from the fantastic opening with the drumming to the closing shot as they walk away down the street.

And I recently looked up a recent picture of Mary Stewart Masterson and she still does it for me.
