Jesus Myth Theory

So Paul is great evidence that Jesus existed, but only if we approach the question presupposing that Jesus existed.
Let me rephrase. Paul never met Jesus but clearly was in no doubt that Jesus existed. And if Jesus existed, Paul will have met people who met him. It would be puzzling for Paul to believe that Jesus existed if he never met anyone who said they knew him. But then again, Paul was a nutter.

Not really. There are millions of people who believe Jesus existed without having met anyone who said they knew him.
The equivalent would be them believing Jesus existed despite not finding anyone who said they knew him when he died around 2019.

I am open to the idea that Paul was such a deranged individual that he did believe that...

No, that's not a remotely valid comparison. Paul wasn't writing four years after Jesus is supposed to have died. Not that that's the biggest problem with what you are saying.

Incidentally, the fact that he had a common name is evidence he existed. If he was made up they’d probably have picked something more distinctive.
"They" called that man Jesus Christ (at least the Greek thereof). He {if he} has no other recorded name.
If you’re interested in the kind of scholarship around this, have a read. If you’re determined not to think he existed, that’s absolutely fine. But it is considered eccentric.
It would not be the first 'eccentric' opinion shared on Urban75, I believe you may even have shared a few of your own on various matters :D

Aye, I’m quite into eccentrics. I’m really not fussed what you think about the historicity of Jesus. I’m just idling.

I think Jesus was written to be the Spinal Tap of his day by this Paul bloke, a fake documentary to get across some ideas and stories. In 2000 years people will be arguing about whether they really built a 20 inches high stone henge, and the real stone henge will be used in the evidence.

Characterised by whom?
Are there any problems with the carbon-14 shroud dating?
  • Robert Rucker, a nuclear analyst turned Shroud of Turin researcher, is another of many experts who take issue with the Carbon-14 Shroud dating. In a paper published in July 2020, he highlighted 15 problems with the suggested age derived from the Carbon-14 study.

There's more to the Shroud, than that
Do you actually believe that God created the image on the Shroud of Turin?

If so, why?
Would it not have been better for Him to have created some photographs, if not videos, of Jesus? That would have been more believable.

What are you on about? Of course it's Greek.
The Greek for Jesus is Ἰησοῦς. It is not pronounced like the English Jesus (or Spanish, French or whatever.). But you're a troll, so more stupid me for even replying. Just doing it for the benefit of non-trolls.
