The violent protesters are playing into Trump's hands but I'm sure they couldn't care less. I doubt they have any principles or ideology other than hate the cops. The more violence the better for Trump. The more the federal building and federal courthouse are attacked, the more paramilitary Trump will send. The city and state politicians have surrendered to mob rule and it's in no way advancing the BLM movement. In fact it's distracting from it.

I think the violent protesters are purposely escalating the violence to the delight of the Trump admin. Attacking federal buildings and the justice center by tearing down protective fencing and throwing all kinds of stuff including Molotov cocktails isn't stopping the escalation. As usual, the extremes feed off each other. The city and state government need to declare a moratorium on protests around those buildings and call in whatever additional law enforcement required to take control of the situation. Oregon has about 400 state troopers. They should be sent in to help restore order. If the area around those government buildings is returned to a peaceful situation, Trump will have no excuse to keep the federal paramilitary there.
