Mind you, in relation to the recent comments it seems there is some serious years-old beef and double-crossing between Pal's party, the CPI (Marxist) and CPI (Maoist), the latest merged 'Naxalite' formation.

India is off the Richter scale in comparison to any issues here. I regularly go to India, the caste system is so ingrained into the psyche of the people on that continent it is hard to see it ever changing, women run real awful risks of violence and rape especially if found alone.

And it is not just Indian women, tourists who travel alone run the risks too. Goas beaches at Christmas and New Year celebrations are a danger zone with the spill from Mumbai and other cities of huge swathes of young men getting pissed up and groping every female on the beaches that they can, thinking they have a divine right to act this way. In some cases there is rape and murder including that of female children (under 16). The police are fuckwits and corrupt easily paid off.

The sad thing is Goa as a state is more progressive than other states in India from a female perspective and as a result of foreign media is seen as one of the worse places in India. Real life in India for the nations poor is shocking
