If you could live anywhere in Europe?

Four-twenty nineteen is a bit weird, as is writing the numeral one as a more civilised person would inscribe a seven.

E2a - so that was what he meant.

Can I change my answer to a yacht sailing around the med? I'd steer it down the coast of Africa to The Gambia for the winter though.

Four-twenty nineteen .. indeed, so illogical to me, is it logical to the French or are they beyond redemption? :)

London. (ooh, that's handy).

This is partly because I love this city, I would be very, very unhappy in the countryside - and also because Although I have a head-start on both French and Italian, I think even if I became fluent, I would miss the nuance and cultural references that you get as a native speaker. I'm very verbal - words are super important to me - and the idea of being on the back foot in verbal expression is just horrible.

So, I've a choice between the cities of the UK and Ireland. London wins every time.

London isn't really UK though really is it?

I'm not very well travelled, so I don't know what a lot of countries in Europe are like, never mind cities. I could easily live in Berlin or Lisbon, though.

Berlin now, Lisbon if I was a bit older. Both relatively cheap for capital cities. Both 'cool'. Both laid back. I imagine it gets a bit too cold in Berlin in winter, though.

Krakow. Just really love the city.

Amsterdam would be cool, Tallinn or Prague as well but I'd really like a little flat in central Krakow

Anywhere in the Snaefellsness area or the highlands of Scotland ...Helmsdale or similar. But outside a village or town. I don't want a glimpse of other humans.

Espira-de-Conflent.Spent some time there would live there if I could,Catalonia in France, sublime.

Could definitely live for a bit or longer in London, Berlin, Marseille, Prague, Tenerife, Granada, Barcelona, Lisbon, maybe Porto. Dunno for how long tho! Sarajevo or Belgrade maybe.

Mostly would try these cos I liked the atmosphere of the place. It was naturally beautiful, culturally varied, safe and fairly friendly. With the exception of London they are all pretty much affordable too.

There are places Ive listed I would get perhaps fed up of the endless tourists but then they are genuinely popular for a reason and have charm. Generally they are big enough to keep me entertained but near to some pretty amazing scenery and nature.
