You'll need a bit further down the line to think about tax and VAT.

there's a few press stories floating around at the moment to the effect that e-bay, vinted and the like, will in future be required to share info with the tax-person about how much sellers have made on the sites.

i haven't t quite worked out what it's all about / how it will work - i want to thin a few collections over the next year, but it's stuff i've bought over a long period of time, and in a lot of cases can't remember / prove how much i paid for any of it...

If you have IT skills, there’s a market out there for tutoring IT-illiterate folk to learn how to use computers to do basic things like communicate on social media, use email, fill in forms etc etc. i would market such an enterprise to older people as they have money.
You’d need the patience of a saint, however
