Hamburg - hotel near main railway station?

Does anyone know of an hotel near Hamburg main railway station?

I#m at Lubeck airport with crap slow internet connection that is taking aaaages to download maps and often just stalls... so I can't really see where they are.

I don't know Hamburg at all, didn#t research in advance because I thought I was flying back via Bremen, have now had flights cancelled two days in a row... I stayed in Lubeck last night, but the hotel was a bit crappy, the room I was in was previously occupied by a smoker and stank and gave me a headache.

I'd love a hotel that English language telly channels, if at all possible, if I'm going to be snowed in any longer.

And my friend who was going to look into this isnät online, so I#m guessing he#s tied up withsomething at work...

If you have a bit of spare cash, Europäische Hof on the St Georg side of the station. Nice area to go out in, kind of a bit trendy but fun.

There are loads of hotels by the railway station. Can't remember any names but they all seemed quite decent when I last visited. I think they have a tourist booth in the railway station so you can ask there.

Yeah, I found the tourist booth and they sent me to the Alte Wache for 64 euros, which was okay, except the chambermaids went up and down the corridor all morning banging doors, ensuring I didn't get the lie in I needed.

There's a Persian restaurant opposite the hotel called Teheran, and the food there's lovely.

Only ever statyed at the Atlantic in Hamburg.

That's pretty close to the station.
