I had to self-certify, but I assumed I was only approved, because my business account had been with them for some years, so they had a good indication of turn-over, it having collapsed, and 'profit', i.e. my earnings, but clearly not.

Meanwhile I'm being chased by HMRC for a few hundred quid in 'falsely claimed' self employed support payments on the grounds that I didn't make any money from self employment during lockdown. Which I kinda thought was the whole point of the payments.
