Good places to get duvent and duvet covers?

The OH and myself had invested in a new bed. It's a super kingsize bad boy.

Any recommendations on duvets and duvet covers?

TK Maxx & Ikea

Ikea is good for cheap duvets and fancy patterned covers; TK Maxx is good for high thread-count sheets and covers at sensible prices.

I have a combination of the two and I've had no complaints (from the cat who shares it with me ).

John Lewis for both. I don't mind shelling out on bedding tho. My bed is my sanctuary.

M&S also do good duvets. Bit hit and miss with the covers tho

Oh, and the Ikea duvet I've got I'd definitely recommend. It's a duck feather/down mix and it comes in 2 parts. A summer quilt which is thin, a thicker one for when it gets a bit colder, then you can join them both together to make one super quilt for winter. I paid about £80 for a double, so add a bit more for king, I reckon.

I was reading about woolen duvets which sound good, but I can't afford to buy one myself. As soon as I can I think I'll be investing, though.

I buy my duvets from M & S - good quality and the feather ones are lovely and floaty light. I think some of my duvets covers and sheets are from there too - can't remember without checking, but I always buy the best I can afford given how long I spend in bed. :)

John Lewis, keep an eye out for the next sale. If you need it before then, Argos aren't that bad. Or M&S, or TK Maxx.

Ikea don't do Super Kingsize, and I doubt that Primark do either. So John Lewis, M&S, Debenhams and Next online are where I usually look.

The White Company do kingsize and a couple of sizes even larger.

Unfortunately there isn't a branch in Manchester - the nearest one is the Trafford Centre, which I detest so refuse to go there. So M & S for me. :)

As you are in the general environs, have this tip from me - there is an old boy who has a stall on the Flat Iron market who does the most excellent superkingsized bedding for half nothing.
I love him, I do. :D

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
My bed is a shrine to Mr Flat Iron. A lovely, snuggly, high quality shrine.

Aren't they closing that market, or have closed it already? I vaguely remember reading something about it, and the market traders objecting.

Has anyone done this shamefully lazy thing? My previous quilt, which I still have in a box on top of the wardrobe, needed washing after getting a bit sweaty. I just couldn't be bothered to go to the launderette so I went out and bought a new one.

Am I incredibly lazy, or just sensible with my time? Be brutal! :D

Geddaway. Awww. I didn't know that. I'll have to go to Bury market to see my bed man.
And I come over all unnecessary at Bury market, due no doubt to the black puddings.

I didn't know they'd flattened the Flat Iron pub though. A very dubious pub indeed - notorious for people selling stolen goods when I lived in the area.

Ah, it was the flea and car boot market that was closing, and the regular market will be rehoused in a new building:

We've got a Super Kingsize bed which is the best bed I've ever slept in and found best duvet solution was a king size duvet each.No fighting over the duvet and it's no barrier to snuggling.
