Gone fishing with Mortimer and Whitehouse

We are fans of Ted. He has his own Insta page. It was reported that he'd died, but that's not true.

I enjoyed that. I never knew Clare Grogan was either Scottish or a singer, only having come across her as Niamh Connolly on Father Ted.

I did feel the need to watch back the Stotts' interview with Sinead O'Connor, after Bob mentioned it:

I actually managed to watch something with my Dad thanks to this programme.

Had to explain who Clare Grogan was obv.

What the Skibadee.

Just put Channel 4 on and what's on tv? Perfect Pub Walks with Bill Bailey. Bailey and Alan Davies walking to pubs and recountng tales.

It's literally the fishing programme with walking.

So lazy.

What next? Paddle with Viv Reeves and Al Murray? Cycling with Michael McIntyre and Rhod Ghilbert? High Tea with Joe Wilkinson and Katherine Ryan?

(Monkey tennis with John Bishop and Jon Richard on, before you guys get on the train was never commissioned).

So what next?

Compared to fishing? Walking is much more energetic.

But yes, people watch shite on TV. It's been a thing for quite a while

Cheers Saul Goodman , glad you're here to be the voice of reason :).

I was more bothered by the lazy remakes of popular TV programmes and more concerning, the people on it (who used to have proper charisma and integrity, having forged a career via one of the toughest mediums - stand up comedy) - just pretending they are mates for cash.

FEB throwdown with Saul Goodman and Average Joe. That might work, although we'd have to probably go straight to Hulu.

The two blokes on a roadtrip format is very in at the moment. I've only really watched Paul and Bob of those, but off the top of my head there's two fellas off Strictly, Rob and Romesh, two blokes off Top Gear, and Tom Allen and Chris McCausland.

The format has been going for years. Instead of doing things, watch other people doing things.
I find it more than a little strange.

Sightseeing with Chris McCausland wasn't great.

(soz).

But if you ever saw him on Countdown I was blown away by how clever he is

Fishing is one of the greatest past times. It actually has very little to do with catching fish.

“We fished all night and into the morning. Nothing moved. We were lost In a world of green and blue and gold.” Dick Walker

It’s about one of the most meaningful things I do with my time.
