how many there do you think?
400 ish (229 according to a Marshall)

Charlton 2 Hendon 1 at the moment.
Bit of dugout Argy Bargy led to a yellow for one of the managers. Very heated final throes of the match.

Ended 2-1 to Charlton, sounds like it was an entertaining match from what I've read elsewhere.

Charlton were clinical in front of goal.
Hendon battled hard, worked their way up the pitch well; but fell apart whenever they got near the box (in my opinion).

Oof, second and third both dumped out of the Isthmian South East play off semi finals at home tonight. Ramsgate with their 89 point season and +65 goal difference will have to try again next season.

And for us it means no trip to that part of the coast next season, with Margate going down.

It's Chichester v Three Bridges in the final, hope Chichester do it, never been there!

Lewisham Borough lost their Southern Counties East Division One play-off semi-final at Larkfield and New Hythe tonight, losing 13-12 on penalties after the match finished 0-0 at full-time. Ouch.

(Means they'll still have a seaside trip to Margate to play Canterbury City, mind...)

The same thing happened in the North Division, with 4th placed Bowers & Pitsea winning at Felixstowe and 5th placed Brentwood winning at Bury Town, so we'll get one of those two. I'm sure Bury and Felixstowe would both have been placed in the Southern League, with someone closer to London (possibly newly relegated Bishop's Stortford) switching to the Isthmian.

I was hoping for Ramsgate to replace Margate. That's really rough on them, having only missed being champions on the final day and finishing 14 points clear of 3rd place. Chichester would be a tick for me (as would have Sittingbourne's current ground) whereas Three Bridges is one of those dull but easy to reach places.

Gloating about being 30 points ahead of your local rivals might have been better done after they’d won the play offs…

Oh well, the people of Thanet will get to look forward to a nice derby next season!

Ah that's annoying. I've been to make than a few games at Hollands and Blair this season and was hoping Lewisham would get promoted into their league.

My gran ended her days in Chi. It's also a much nicer day out than Three Bridges. Plenty to see and some decent pubs.

I did watch a game there but that was back in the days before they merged with the city other senior team, Portfield. The Chichester ground then was pretty basic with hardly anyone watching, there were more when I went to Portfield from memory. Someone has done a very good job building the club up.

It's good to see that with an 8000 capacity, Gravesend and Northfleet aren't overreaching ar all....

In a total contrast to last night, today's Isthmian League play-off semi-finals were all won by the home team. Horsham and Wingate & Finchley were eliminated, so we'll still be playing them next season, and Monday's Premier Division Final will be Chatham v Enfield. In the South Central Division Marlow will play at home to Leatherhead on Sunday. If Leatherhead win they may be placed in our division, or in the Southern League Premier South. Marlow would certainly go into the Southern League.

If Chatham go up on Monday, their games with Maidstone will be a wee bit tasty next season.

That brings back a few memories… 2011 Isthmian D1S semi play off anyone?

Some projections have Chi going into the Southern League. It probably depends on other play off results, fingers crossed.

Taking in the Isthmian North playoff final today, Bowers&Pitsea v Brentwood.

Went to their stadium in week 1 for Hamlet v Hashtag, what a long time ago that feels like.

It's no more than 5 miles from Bognor, but less than 10 from Havant who are expected to be placed in the Southern. It's possible all 3 might be placed in the same league, but that would mean moving one or two other clubs sideways.

If Leatherhead win at Marlow in the South Central final there's more chance we'll get them, but not Chichester. We'll certainly get the winners of the North final (Bowers or Brentwood) but we won't get Chertsey or Lowestoft (who were champions of the South Central and North respectively) or Marlow. There was also a forecast a couple of weeks ago that had Hendon returning to the Isthmian from the Southern.
