Gateshead Council and their 'scary street lights'

Look, I'm getting very anxious now - IS IT SAFE FOR ME TO GO GATESHEAD?

To be honest, I'm in Boro, only 35 miles away from the epicentre of this new threat. My fillings are on edge, the damage has probably been done already. :(

To be fair, you're probably far more likely to be poisoned living in the Boro with all the chemical plants than experience horrific genetic mutations through the nefarious experiments Gateshead council are running using lampposts as proxies.

I hadn't thought this was an 'official' conspiraloon inspired panic. But, well, who else...
David Icke | 5G Is An International Health Crisis In The Making

It's a growing conspiracy theory, one conspiraloon described 5G as 'more like a total control/weapon system' on a radio forum I keep an eye on, compared the technology to microwave ovens, that he claimed have been banned in Russia since 1976, which is bollocks.

He followed the usual pattern of posting weird youtube clips, and links to loon sites such as www.electricsense.com, which features all sorts of scare stories about existing technology, including the FACT that YOUR cell phone is KILLING YOU SPERM !!11!!1!

The sites features a shop selling fucking expensive EMF protection meters & shielding, etc. such as:

- The Belly Band - it's a microwave (radio frequency) tummy-front shield for expecting mothers, it repels wi-fi, cellphone, microwave oven, CB/TV/FM and other RF radiation. Made from 95% Rayon, 5% Spandex, and RadiaShield® Fabric (a highly conductive Silver textile providing 99.9% RF shielding effectiveness). $59.99 :hmm:

- Desktop Magnetic Shielding Foil - you can wrap the [computer] tower in magnetic shielding foil to greatly reduce magnetic field emissions. Simply wrap it like a birthday present. You can seal the seams with duct tape. Leave some opening for air circulation and access for cables. $24.95 / linear ft. :hmm:

Sadly they seem to have sold out of tinfoil hats. :(

There's a good article about this "Belly Armor" on The Register site, which rips the piss out of it and ends with the line...
But frankly, if you're the sort of person who is seriously considering the purchase of Belly Armor, you probably already own and wear a hat made of tinfoil. Why don't you simply wrap a length of trusty kitchen aluminium round your midsection, too?

I suspect as the government has just auctioned off the spectrum for 5G, we can expect shitloads of looney tunes stuff cropping-up all over the internet.

At last, some practical help! Right Gateshead, do yer worst!

That bloke in Gateshead has made a video documenting the risks. I defy you to watch it and not laugh (although yes, yes I know it's actually a bit sad)...

"

"See no birds, the only birds we have are seagulls and crows. Larger birds. ... That's not a bird, it's a blue plastic bag. Not a single bird. No birds. Murdered. " :D

An old friend and former lodger seems to have fallen down this rabbit hole, posting increasingly cranky stuff on fb up to and including chemtrails. She does have some genuine health problems, but is increasingly blaming them on all kinds of nonsense. Just this week she’s had all her fillings changed to non-metallic ones, so her head ‘no longer acts as an antennae’.

I don’t know how you ween people off this stuff, or whether it’s even worth trying, given friendships could be jeopardised.

Oh dear, that's both sad & expensive. :(
