Funicular railways of the UK and elsewhere

Steepness :cool: (edit: actually may not technically be a funicular - do you need two cars counterbalancing each other?)

I seem to regularly go on holiday to places with funiculars. I've been in the Bergen, Prague, Montmartre, Turin and Saltburn ones, and also this splendid one in Como.

I've been on the two in Barcelona.

I don't much like the fact that they appear to run on two pulley ropes. I worried the whole time about one of them snapping and the whole thing plummeting to the ground.
 
I have no pictures to add, but I love the thread. There's something inexplicably captivating and charming about them.

I'm damn sure I've been on at least one, but I'm totally stumped where it/they was/were. Childhood holidays mainly spent in North Wales, with the occasional one camping in the Dordogne...
