Free party : a documentary

This does look good - hope they can get the cash needed to get it the next stage. Despite, at the time, not really liking the music and not taking the drugs, I managed to find myself at quite a few of the events that will be in this film

I loved the music and the drugs and was also at many of the events in this film. Sorry for wrecking your scene Ground Elder, but it was on its arse anyway ;)

I saw this video the other day, can't see me in it but there's an ex who looks so weirdly young. Did wondered vaguely how many of you lot are in there too.

That was when I learned the round plastic shields the filth brandish aren't like a flimsy dustbin lid, but may as well be made of concrete for the damage it done to my face

(((bahnhof strasse)))

I was just to the left of the video guy when the horses rode in at Downing Street.

Stayed to the end of the Battle of Park Lane as an interested observer, I was a lover not a fighter. As the police lines closed in I was grabbed by the collar by a high up copper and invited to leave the area very fucking quickly if I knew what was good for me. I didn't argue. Not sure why he took pity on me and pulled me out of the developing kettle but I bravely ran away and avoided getting battered.

i think that was my first kettling, i think it was that day, remember being absolutely desperate to pee but not quite brave enough in the kettled crowd despite having long massive hippy skirt on, thats what i remember, oh those were the days. :hmm:

I was there but can't see any familar faces. Probably for the best.

During this time the BBC came and filmed at a rave friends of mine organised in caves in Cheshire - for a criminal justice bill segment as part of that DEF2 yoof TV - I'd so love to track that footage down. All these rave documentaries only ever include stuff from within the M25 and we did manage to party elsewhere too.

I was at the front, by accident more than anything, when they charged with the horses. Nasty shit - there were young babies there ffs. Wankers with masks on appeared behind us telling us to 'hold your ground'. Rather convenient how, where and when they turned up. :hmm:

There's a thread on here somewhere devoted to it.

Probably within shouting distance of each other then. :D

I'm sure there is a thread and I probably put that anecdote on it as well but can't for the life of me remember where it is.

Main thing I remember is shouting at people to stop throwing things. The coppers had charged with the horses and split the crowd in two. The bottles were flying right over them into the crowd on the other side.

I've seen quite a bit of northern footage over the years. Lots of stuff from the Sett End in Blackburn for instance. There is also a video of the car park at Shelleys around somewhere and you can see me in the background leaning against a wall whilst rushing my tits off. Thankfully, that's the only time I've ever spotted myself. A mate of mine was once featured gurning like a trooper on an advert for one of those '100 rave anthem' CDs that used to show on late night ITV. Proper close up of him too.

There for the march and at Glastonbury on crossover year. The early music sounds almost punk with anarchy, but everyone too pilled to fight. One of the game-changers of the entire scene actually. Queuing for local raves with the blokes in front who, before ecstasy, were aggressive and violent and starting fights in the pub.

So the film is not yet made?

It's here. Anyone going to any of the screenings? Probably Brighton for me.
