Can anyone recommend a good website for renting a large house/villa somewhere round Spain/Portugal ideally around May/June time? Am trying organize a place for an anniversary celebration & there will be 13 adults and 11 children so at least 10 bedrooms needed...

if it was montenegro , i could recommend a farmhouse complex with that many rooms and a pool surrounded by olive and pomegranite groves. but it obvs isnt in iberia. we got it on airbnd - it would be worth checking airbnb out as well I reckon

If you are specifically looking for the Med, Portugal isn't on it.

Anyway, there's a Facebook (sorry) that covers the popular areas around Malaga/Beneldemina/Feungirola area both inland and coastal. Houses for rent in Coin, Alhaurin and surrounding areas. It has rentals for holiday to long term, and a wide range of prices.

Weird, I used to go out with a Portuguese girl who described herself as Mediterranean...still, that was a long time ago so there's been continental drift and all that since then I suppose...
Do you know what the Facebook group is called?

Apparently that link isn't working. The group is called "houses for sale and rent in Coin Alhaurin and surrounding areas" Obviously imaginative names isn't their strong suit.

Portuguese people do think of themselves as Mediterranean, but the country doesn't touch the Med. When I lived there I'd have great fun pointing this out and listening to their arguments.
