Have got some P20 sortedUnusually this year a hat and suncream has been very essential, that is unless you went to Camp Bestival.
Got that sorted too
Need a camping pan or two
FFSYou should have been more organised cos I've got shit loads and you could have had a spare or two
Anyone recommend a good/cheap/light/thin airbed? A neighbour was going to lend me one but her dog bit it
I suppose it is a good investment
Cheers pogofishThink about a "self inflating camping mat" instead of an airbed - They pack better/thinner than the lightest airbed and tend to be able to take more abuse too.
You should be able to pick-up one of a variety od budget brands for around twenty quid or go for very expensive brands like Thermarest, which do pack smaller and lighter. Either way, they are brilliant - and if you need more support than the self-inflation supplies, simply blow a little more air-in.
Having a look round for one, anyone got a recommendation?
I've never been to a festival of any type but from reading this thread the experience seems to be similar to SERE (Survive, Evade, Resist, Extract) training in the forces.

Went to the supermarket and got a few food bits
Tinned ravioli, macaroni cheese and soup
Hungarian meat sticks and some Peperami
Pot Noodles and some 'Maggi' noodles
Cereal bars and Breakaways
Crikey, you weren't joking when you said you were doing it on a budget.
yes, my mrs got me to one early in our relationship and it reminded me - forcefully - of living in patrol base in Sangin, Afghanistan in 2006. though Sangin had cleaner water and fewer twats with guitars...
You say that but...
One of yours I believe.
of course, the big difference is that Blunt is both quite good and takes the piss out of himself, whereas the festival strummer is a tedious, deluded soap-dodging cunt who's only doing it so he can get into someones knickers.

Impressive..! I never managed to make mine do that.
The other good thing about camping mats is that if the worst does happen and you pop them, the foam matrix or whatever inside them does still provide a little padding to the ground.
