We had a sprung mattress in our tent at Boomtown 'twas bliss, will evermore be an essential.
Double airbed with battery operated pump and a double sleeping bag is my set up.
Easier to carry than a mattress.

So we're off to bestival in a couple of weeks and its my first festival in a long time. So to all you festival types whats your best hints and tips and what items would you not think of going without?
Will you be in your car? Or have a rucksack? If you have a rucksack forget the mattress, and probably the watering can.

i also discovered a small camping stove in my dada garage the other day, is it worth taking do you think? just for teas and coffee in the morning like.
erm, even if you are in the car I'd give the sprung mattress and watering can a miss, theres a fucker of a hill at Bestival between the car parks and the camp site. Take only what you need, ask yourself:
"Is it warm?"
"Is it waterproof?"
"Is a needed hygene product?"
"Will it get me fucked off my face?"
If you cant answer yes to at least one of these then leave it at home.
We're horribly obsessively sorted when camping anywhere. another top tip is a watering can, if it's sunny put it outside next to your tent inside a black bin bag, it will get nice and warm, sometimes hot for a shower.

Not for me but loads of people do. If you are a big tea / coffee drinker then its probably worth it otherwise you'll spend shit loads at the cafes. I couldnt be bothered with the extra weight personally.
Personally I just bring a bed, cooker, fridge, loo, two tables, few chairs, china plates knives and forks, quite a few mugs and glasses, small drinks cabinet, sink, draining board, mains electricty, huge tent...
I mean how could you live without all those essentials.

Don't forget that, unlike milk, Baileys doesn't go off and tastes great in your morning coffee.
Do I know you?
