Just had a 'This Isn't Pork' sausage for brekkie- best fake veggie one out there imo...
I've probably posted this elsewhere, but my current favourite veggie sausage is the Lidl one from the chiller when available. They're beany rather than meaty, so a good option for those who don't like fake meat.
I stock up for the freezer when I see them (which is why these are frozen).

They are pricey, always wait for them to be reduced. Not keen on Richmond, salty and squishy. Cauldron are my other fave.Nah N not too keen on those, also they're at the pricier end (£3-£3.50 for 270g, compared to Quorn bangers which are around £2.75 for the same weight, and Richmonds which are £2.15-£2.40 for 304g).
Oh no! I bet the labelling has quirky writing on it too in the first person.Have you tried the new Cauldrons? The ones worth the kind of cartoon writing on the packaging?

Not quite, but it's probably going to be the next iterationOh no! I bet the labelling has quirky writing on it too in the first person.
We had them last night and they are fucking VILE. Skin's wrong, texture's solid, taste is shite. Gave me terrible indigestion all night too.Uh oh! Cauldron are tinkering again, and there are already howls of outrage across social channels. Only a matter of time before they change them back again

I don't think they're even bothering to respond to criticism on social media. We had them last night and they are fucking VILE. Skin's wrong, texture's solid, taste is shite. Gave me terrible indigestion all night too.
Absolute twattery. Why do they do it? They were No 1, why fuck with it?! I have been following a fairly rigorous no-UPF regime for 18 months or so now but every now and again, I like a decent veggie saussie with mash. Comfort food. I have just seen the old-style ones on Tesco so I've ordered them, but if they sub with the new, they're going straight back.I don't think they're even bothering to respond to criticism on social media.
Sosmix, skins, and a sausage stuffer from the Internet. I may well never eat another Cauldron sausage again.Btw your homemade ones look the biz
Nah, they were guaranteed sales. Not now though.Costs going up probably. If they don’t think folk will pay more they piss about with the recipe and ingredients.
Yes, I'm increasingly of the view that this has to be a cost-cutting measure.Costs going up probably. If they don’t think folk will pay more they piss about with the recipe and ingredients.
DO IT DO IT DO IT!I've got a damn good mind to take the two packs I still have in the freezer back to Tesco as "unsatisfactory". I'm only going to bin them otherwise.
Or maybe I'll just email Tesco to complain and see what they suggest.
I bought Moving Mountains again, and had completely forgotten that I had already tried them. Had the spitting problem again too!Just tried the Moving Mountains ones. They are bigger than I was expecting, decent taste and texture. Thumbs up from me.
The only downside was that when I fried them, there was lots of spitting. Will try another cooking method next time.
They're beyond awful. They're like reconstituted cardboard with the flavour removed.I'm always disappointed by veggie sausages. Those Linda McCartney ones are awful.
Read the thread and find out.I've not a sausage for years. Which is the best veggie one then?
Can't be bothered to read 500 posts.Read the thread and find out.

Do they still make sosmix? Remember trying that when I was a teenager. Think you had to add egg and water.Summary:
When you find a good one, either they ruin it by changing the recipe or it becomes unobtainable in local supermarkets.
Then someone shouts: Sosmix!
