I didn’t watch the match or any highlights of it, but from a foreign resident’s perspective, I am shocked though not surprised to hear the players were booed.
Embarrassing as the result might have been, it was a meaningless friendly, ffs. Be shocked at it if you must, but what’s the point of berating the most gifted squad the country has assembled in decades because of a single bad day at the office?
Ironically, this might work to the advantage of the fortunes of Camp England. The lower the expectations from the masses, the less pressure the players will have to endure.

One small step for me
I did watch it and the shocking thing was the team’s performance - and it was certainly no surprise they were booed for it by people who’d paid their money in the reasonable expectation of seeing something better. Friendly or not, I’d have booed them too, they deserved it.

I've backed Portugal to make the semis, to reach the final . France v Portugal final, Lukaku top goalscorer , Fernandes most assists. Also had some group bets. Obviously, when these are all lost I'll find some more inspired wagers.
